The wellness café
Open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 2pm. Tables on the pavement when the weather allows. Come in for a coffee whether or not you are booked in for anything.
Pakefield · Lowestoft · Suffolk
Three words on the awning at 36 London Road, and all three are true. A wellness café at the front, a studio for yoga and Pilates, treatment rooms and an infrared sauna behind. Six practitioners, one address, and a beach unit down at Jubilee Parade.
The space
Most places in Lowestoft do one of these things. NuGlow does the lot on a corner of London Road, which means a sauna before a massage, or a class and then coffee, without moving the car.

02
Yoga, Pilates and mindful meditation, five evenings and one morning a week, taught by Freya, Lydia, Christie and Sue. Small groups, all levels, £7 a class.
03
Treatment rooms for massage, reflexology, acupuncture, reiki, facials, nails and brows, plus an infrared sauna you can book for one or for two.
04
The NuGlow beach unit sits on Jubilee Parade, by the blue beach huts, open Monday to Sunday 9am to 4pm. Beach yoga and breathwork sessions run from there through the summer.
Treatments
Prices as published by NuGlow. Where a treatment says "from", the final price depends on what the appointment actually needs, and you are told before anything starts.
Anti-wrinkle and vitamin injections involve prescription-only medicines, which UK rules do not allow to be advertised or priced publicly. They are available here and are discussed at consultation, where suitability is assessed individually. Results vary from person to person.
The timetable
£7 a class, or £25 for four. Mats provided. Chair yoga is exactly what it sounds like: a full class done seated, for anyone who would rather not be getting up off the floor.

The founder
Jemma came to this from two directions at once. She holds a BSc in Psychology, and she spent years working as a medical summariser before training in the practical side: anatomy and physiology, phlebotomy, micro-needling, PRP, dermal fillers, skin boosters, vitamin injections, dermaplaning, chemical peels and more.
That combination is why NuGlow is not simply a treatment room. The idea was a place where the mind gets the same attention as the face, which is how a meditation class, an acupuncturist and a coffee machine ended up in the same building as the aesthetics diary.
Getting here
The corner of London Road, a few minutes south of Lowestoft town centre and a short walk from Pakefield beach. Street parking outside.
